About ClenchAlert®

ClenchAlert® is a pressure-triggered jaw-awareness device designed to help people notice daytime jaw pressure as it happens.

Many people bring their teeth together during work, driving, screen time, gaming, studying, or stressful moments without realizing it. ClenchAlert® provides a gentle, real-time vibration cue when pressure is detected, giving users a simple reminder to notice, release, and reset.

ClenchAlert® is developed by Hawkeye Group for people who want a practical way to become more aware of daytime jaw-pressure patterns and support a simple release-and-reset practice during common daily routines.

About ClenchAlert®

Our Story

ClenchAlert® was created with a clear purpose:

To help people notice daytime jaw pressure and practice a simple reset routine during everyday activities.

Jaw pressure can be easy to miss. It may happen during focused work, stressful conversations, long drives, gaming, phone scrolling, posture strain, or digital overload. Many people do not notice when their teeth come together until later, when they reflect on their day or recognize a recurring pattern.

ClenchAlert® is designed as a daytime awareness tool.

When ClenchAlert® detects pressure, it provides a subtle vibration cue. That cue turns an unnoticed pattern into a moment of awareness:

Notice. Release. Reset.

With repeated use during awake daytime routines, users can
begin to recognize when jaw pressure tends to show up and practice returning to a relaxed resting position.

THE SCIENCE

How Biofeedback SupportsJaw Awareness

With daytime jaw pressure, the challenge is timing. Many people do not notice the pattern while it is happening. Biofeedback can help close that awareness gap by turning an unnoticed behavior into something users can recognize in real time.

STEP 1

Detect

The device responds when pressure is detected.

STEP 2

Cue

A gentle vibration provides a real-time signal that pressure has occurred.

STEP 3

Reset

The cue reminds the user to separate the teeth, release the jaw, breathe, and return to the activity. This process is designed to support daytime jaw-awareness practice during common routines such as work, driving, studying, gaming, phone use, or screen time.

The Relaxed Resting Position

Lips together. Teeth apart. Tongue resting gently on the roof of the mouth.

Many people are not aware of how often their teeth come together during the day. ClenchAlert® is designed to help users notice that difference in real time.

The goal is not to force the jaw into position. The goal is to use a gentle awareness cue to practice returning to a relaxed resting position during awake daytime use.

HOW CLENCHALERT WORKS

A Simple Jaw-Awareness Loop

STEP 1

Wear It During Common Trigger Times

Use ClenchAlert® during moments when you are more likely to notice jaw pressure, such as computer work, driving, email, phone scrolling, studying, reading, stressful conversations, gaming, or focus-heavy tasks. You do not need to wear it all day. Start with a specific daytime window, such as 20 to 30 minutes during work, driving, or screen time.

STEP 2

Feel the Gentle Vibration Cue

When enough pressure is detected, ClenchAlert® provides a gentle vibration cue. It is not meant to startle you. It is simply a signal:

Pressure detected. Notice. Release. Reset.

STEP 3

Release and Reset

When ClenchAlert® vibrates, separate your teeth, release the jaw, let your tongue rest gently, take a slow breath, and return to what you were doing. The cue gives you a chance to notice the pattern and practice a relaxed jaw position.

STEP 4

Track What You Notice

Over time, you may begin to see when jaw pressure happens most often. Patterns may appear around stress, focus, posture, sleep quality, caffeine, screen time, or certain parts of the day. That awareness gives you a clearer starting point for daily practice and more informed conversations with your dentist or qualified healthcare professional.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Randy Clare

Randy Clare has spent decades in the dental device industry, working with oral appliances, functional appliances, and sleep-related dental solutions. His interest in jaw awareness became personal after a significant jaw-related experience and extensive dental restorations led him to look more closely at the relationship between stress, habits, oral appliances, and daytime jaw pressure.

That experience led Randy to study habit formation, biofeedback, stress physiology, and practical behavior-change strategies. His work helped shape the BRUX Method, an educational framework designed to help
people become more aware of jaw-pressure patterns and practice simple reset routines during daily life.

BRUX Method Essentials brings that work together in a practical format for people who want to better understand their jaw habits and build greater awareness during the day.
